A cup of coffee contains more than aroma and taste. Behind every single bean are people who have grown, picked and processed the coffee — often under terms we rarely see or talk about. Their hands are part of our morning routine, even if their stories rarely keep up. A conversation about the people behind the coffee. About the relationships, value chains and shared responsibility that arise when something cultivated in one place in the world becomes a fixed part of everyday life in another. As one of the world's most coffee-drinking nations, we also have a responsibility to take an interest in those who make our coffee possible. And as we get to know the people behind the coffee, each cup becomes a tale of connection and interdependence.

Meet Nanna Callisen Bang and Søren Sylvest, who share perspectives on the people, relationships and choices that shape coffee — from coffee farm to coffee cup.

• You're welcome from 7:45 a.m. for coffee, and then there's talk and conversation from 8-9 a.m.
